Blue Baby Blanket

During the past week, I've been working on crocheting a baby blanket for an until recent co-worker. I finished the last touches of the blanket today. I crocheted the main portion, weaved in the ribbon, and secured the bow with some thread. I'm proud of this creation, as with most of my projects. The only thing I would do differently, is make the body of the blanket bigger. As a whole, it is 28" square, and I'd rather it be 32" square. However I'm not going to worry about it anymore.

I (somewhat) followed the following pattern: http://rosylittlethings.typepad.com/TiramisuBlanket.pdf

The Beginning

For a while, I've been wanting to create a website (or in this case a blog) about my sewing creations. I consider myself quite good, and with time I'm sure that I'll greatly improve. I began seriously sewing about a year ago when I made a few life changes, including moving into a small one bedroom apartment. Within my apartment, I have the freedom to decorate and conduct my hobbies as I see fit. It is absolutely wonderful. Lately I've been very interested in baking bread foods, and sewing clothes for myself.

It is in my interest to sell my sewing creations to people. So far I've been using patterns from Vogue, Simplicity, Quiksew, and McCall's. If you see something from the websites of these companies you like, let me know, and we'll work together to make you something beautiful.

Here's some pictures of the tulips blooming outside my house. Now stop staring at the computer and get your butt outside and enjoy the sunshine!
